Self-portrait completed with a hatching (overlapping lines and increasing pencil softness) technique. I am happy with the outcome of this assignment. I can see areas where I lost some realism, the eyes are too big and some of the proportions are wonky. Overall I can see where improvement is needed but feel for an early attempt at realistic drawing it's good. Hatching was challenging for me to master but after a couple tries I figured out my best technique- again I see the need for improvement but am happy for a first try.
