For this project we were asked to arrange an interesting still life composition, and then draw it in charcoal. While the task was to draw from visual, the reference image, filtered black and white, could assist in determining the tonal variation of the objects. We were also encouraged to add a transparent object to our arrangement to add a bit of a challenge. I did find the transparent object hard to represent in my drawing. I also had a hard time blending the lines made by the charcoal. Overall with little to no experience doing projects with charcoal i am happy with the outcome!
